About Malia :

Malia Zora Monét was on born on August 18th 1999. She was born in Miami, Florida at Mercy Hospital. Growing up, Malia’s mother worked as an actress, so she wouldn’t be home very often to visit with her kids, leaving her husband to take care of them. Malia had a very alcoholic father, so her bond with her siblings became stronger as “we all took care of each other” she explains. Eventually, Malia’s parents divorced when Malia was 10 years old. That’s when Malia’s mother took a break from her acting career and started taking care of her kids.

In 2010, at the age of 11 Malia and her sisters were put into singing, and dance lessons by her mother, and that’s when Malia’s bond with music birthed. Malia’s biggest inspiration was the one and only Nicki Minaj. Malia loved rap music like her sister Nailah Monét growing up. Her and Nailah would do rap battles when they were bored and Malia loved making up lyrics while feeling the real vibe of rap.

At the age of 20, Malia went onto America’s Got Talent and sung Starships by Nicki Minaj and won the golden buzzer. Even though Malia did not win America’s Got Talent her talent was still very noticed! Malia was later sent an invitation by Ace Records™️ when they had seen her performance all over the internet.
